World Info: What’s it like outside? Where am I? What is common knowledge that should be assumed we know? Did your PC learn something you want noted for everyone else to also know? check it here!
Playing Together: See the Expectations page to know how we handle PC absences, party splits, and more.
The Theme: See this page regarding the Fantasy Type that the campaign is running in, and expectations to have regarding it.
Homebrew: There’s a lot of modifications with the rules in this campaign. There’s been changes to HP, leveling, spellcasting, death, and more. Check the Homebrew Rules page for the full list.
Character Sheet: I recommend using the Shakai Toon Sheet (link coming soon). Make a copy, then share it with me ([email protected]) and let me know so that I can make it function for you. You can use DnD Beyond, however, some homebrew is not functional in DnD Beyond so that may be janky to use. But you do you.
Making Your Toon: See the Character Creation page for necessary info regarding the toon creation process and how leveling up works on Shakai.
***Rule Tables:***
Note-taking: It is up to you, the players, to take and keep track of notes. I will not be keeping notes for you. The Campaign Log is where you can keep track of all party, setting, story, & plot info that you want recorded. Anything in the Campaign Log is going to be assumed to be group knowledge. If you don’t want something shared, feel free to keep your own personal notes.
DM Rulings: I believe in rulings over rules. This helps keep the game flowing. If something is clarified later, we can then move forward with the correct rule. Past decisions and outcomes will not be ret-conned based on rule clarifications. The Q&A’s section exists to help keep track of relevant rulings, rules, as well as other campaign- or play-related questions.
Alignment Behavior: There are many misconceptions regarding alignment, particularly how good works with chaos, and how law works with evil. This page on Law and Order may be an overstatement, but I’m putting it here anyway in case you are bored one day and want a nerdy dive into alignments and medieval systems of maintaining order.
